Founder's Story
The Wall Decor Store Founder’s Story
A comeback built on culture, courage, and discipline
Before I ever built a business or sold a single canvas, I remember walking into homes — mine, my family’s, my friends’ — and noticing how one picture could shift the entire energy of a room. I’ve always cared about how a space feels. The moment that pushed me to create something of my own was realizing how often that feeling of connection was missing.
My name is Rashaad Hannah, and I created Wall Decor Store to help people feel proud, grounded, and connected in the places where they spend their lives. I wanted to offer art that brings joy and belonging, whether it’s in your home, your office, or any space that deserves intention.
I also built this brand to ensure that people who look like me, people who share my background and culture, could see themselves represented on their walls. As a proud Black man, I want our community to have daily reminders of self‑worth, culture, and identity through art that feels personal and powerful.
At its core, Wall Decor Store reflects the culture that shaped me, while creating art that anyone can appreciate for its meaning and intention.
Art that actually means something
Every piece we offer is chosen with care. Some reflect Black culture and identity. Others focus on peace, calm, spirituality, or modern lifestyle. Whether a canvas reminds you of home, family, or simply brings a sense of peace, the purpose is simple:
Make your space feel like you.
Losing everything, and rebuilding the right way
In 2020, I built another wall art brand that took off fast. Orders were coming in every day. Revenue was rising. Life felt good.
And then it all collapsed.
I lost the business, the income, and the momentum. Everything.
That experience forced me to understand the difference between making money and building something real, something with foundation, service, and longevity. When I decided to rebuild, I promised myself I’d do it with discipline, structure, and intention.
Wall Decor Store is the result of that promise.
Before I could rebuild, I had to rethink how I wanted this brand to operate, from the inside out.
How I run this brand
The lessons from losing everything shaped the standards I hold today. I treat Wall Decor Store like something I’m passing down, not something I’m flipping.
My values guide every decision:
discipline and consistency
reliability and on‑time delivery
respect for every customer
accountability in every detail
pride in the quality of each piece
If something goes wrong, I fix it personally. If someone reaches out, I make sure they’re taken care of. This brand is built on service and trust.
A brand with roots, and room for everyone
Wall Decor Store is rooted in my culture and my story, but its purpose has always been bigger than one community. This brand is for anyone who values décor with meaning, intention, and personality. I’m humbled every time customers from all backgrounds connect with our art in their own way.
Whether you're here for Black Jesus, Floral Zen, modern lifestyle pieces, or personalized gifts, there’s space for you here.
Where we’re going next
Everything ahead builds on the mission I started with: creating meaningful art that makes people feel at home, seen, and connected.
Wall Decor Store is growing into a full, long‑term brand that stands apart through meaningful design, cultural authenticity, and an obsessive focus on customer experience, with:
new collections and original artwork
a better, smoother customer experience
deeper cultural storytelling
founder‑led transparency
a community that wants more than generic décor
This is just the beginning.
